Announcing the LK Nutrition Scholarship Fund!

Friends, Colleagues, and Clients: we recently created a scholarship fund here at LK Nutrition, and we need your help!

Did you know BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) are just as likely to have eating disorders as white folks, but are significantly less likely to receive help for their eating issues compared to their white counterparts!? This inequity exists for a multitude of reasons, related to systemic oppression and the intersections of race and class. But eating disorder care shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be a RIGHT.

As one small step towards helping make treatment more accessible, we are aiming to fundraise through donations that will be used to fully subsidize sessions specifically for BIPOC clients in need of nutrition counseling for an eating disorder who would not otherwise be able to afford services.

To learn more about the scholarship fund and how you can help, click here for the full Google Slides presentation with more info. Any and all contributions are deeply appreciated, whether that’s a monetary donation (no amount is too small) or help spreading the word about this campaign.

If you are a prospective BIPOC client experiencing financial barriers to nutrition counseling services for an eating disorder and you’re interested in applying to our scholarship, please contact us for more information and specific eligibility criteria: info@LKnutrition.com.

Special thanks to Jessica Wilson for your powerful words above and guidance on this project. And shoutout to the LK Nutrition team for their support!
